First Church Congregational Boxford announced that it
is hosting the gospel choir
Confirmation on February 25, 2012 at
7:00pm. This is a sixth-annual engagement resulting from the
packed-out performances given the last few years.
“The Choir is world-class in their delivery,
message, and presence. It’s always a great opportunity to sing along and
enjoy the high level of enthusiasm and spontaneity they bring to the
crowd,” said Doug Walker, First Church’s new pastor. Added Phil
Jamieson, FCCB’s chairman of outreach, “We hope to host the Gospel
Choir every February for the foreseeable future, as we join them in
celebrating Black History Month here in Boxford. Last year the message
was powerful, uplifting, and enthusiastically received by a wide variety
of people in the audience, including many of our friends at Place of
Promise in Lowell. They’re coming back too, so it will be even more fun
this year!”
Confirmation is an award-winning music ministry of
contemporary gospel. They tour throughout Massachusetts and New England
and reach out to all walks of life, including homeless shelters and
prisons, as well as for the New England Patriots, the Democratic
National Convention Committee, the original House of Blues and, of
course, First Church Congregational Boxford.
Confirmation will be
performing
with their own style of gospel music
that is fused with tinges of pop and shades of jazz, blues, hip-hop,
funk and soul even classical.
Directed by David Coleman, Confirmation celebrates life through the
fellowship of shared song. Conferring inner strength through the
vibration of conviction, Confirmation brings seven lives together to
tell the human story in harmonic glory.
