Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ. When you hear His name, many things may come to your mind. Perhaps you think of a great teacher, or a man who was a good example of how to live. Maybe you have no reaction at all when you hear His name.

At First Church we know Jesus was more than a good man who lived a good life. He was more than just a good teacher. Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God who came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and rose three days later.

In being crucified on a cross, Jesus took the wrath of God that you and I deserve. Without Christ our sin  separates us from God and we’ll spend eternity apart from Him. However if we confess and turn from our sins, asking Christ to forgive us and to be in control of our lives, we become adopted by God. We are no longer condemned, but are now a child of God. There is no greater relationship than one with Christ. We would love to have the opportunity to speak with you about all it means to follow Christ.
